An unusually warm August and early September near Sitka has attracted an unusual fish to the area - tuna. A U.S. House hearing Tuesday on energy in Alaska was largely a tale of two Alaskas. And six years ago, a man tossed a message in a bottle on a patch of sea ice near Utqiagvik. This spring, it was finally found – thousands of miles away.
Born and raised in Dillingham, Brian Venua graduated from Gonzaga University before ultimately returning to Alaska. He moved to Kodiak and joined KMXT in 2022.
