Today (Wednesday) the Kodiak Emergency Operations Center reported twenty-seven (27) new cases of COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.
Fourteen (14) cases are close contacts of previously reported cases, two (2) are travel related, and eleven (11) cases have unknown transmission pending contact tracing.
One hundred twenty-eight (128) cases are currently classified as active locally. Two active cases are currently hospitalized in Kodiak.
To date one thousand three hundred and seventy-three (1373) cases, fifty-eight (58) hospitalizations, and five (5) deaths have been associated with COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.
Residents are urged to consider social distancing, outdoor activities, and the number of people when planning on attending or hosting social gatherings.
