According to the Kodiak Area Emergency Services Organization, 23 new cases have been reported for the Kodiak Island Borough.
Six new cases not previously reported were tested on December 1st included three close contact cases and three community transmission cases.
Five new cases not previously reported were tested on December 2nd included two close contact cases and three community transmission cases.
Twelve new cases were individuals tested on December 3rd. Eight are close contact cases, and four cases are community transmission.
Hospitalizations remain unchanged from yesterday. There have been 12 hospitalizations since the beginning of the pandemic and, with two individuals currently hospitalized locally.
This brings the total case count since the start of the pandemic to 434, with 169 cases classified as active. Eleven individuals have completed their isolation period, and were thus removed from the active case count.
