The Kodiak Emergency Operations Center has reported 27 new cases of COVID-19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.
Among them are eight community transmission cases, 10 unknown transmission cases, 7 close contact cases, and two travel related cases, all tested since July 27th.
This brings the current active case count to 63 cases in Kodiak, with 1247 cases since the start of the pandemic. There are currently two patients hospitalized in Kodiak who have active cases of COVID-19; there have been 52 local hospitalizations to date. There have been five deaths associated with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
