Today the Kodiak Emergency Operations Center reported thirty-six (36) new cases of COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.
These cases were tested on the 28th and 29th of September.
The Kodiak Public Health Office is now classifying the means of transmission for all cases of COVID 19 in the Kodiak Island Borough as community spread.
Two hundred seventy (270) cases of COVID 19 are currently classified as active locally. Three (3) active cases are currently hospitalized in Kodiak.
To date, two thousand one hundred ninety-one (2191) total cases, eighty-four (84) local hospitalizations, and seven (7) deaths have been associated with COVID 19 in the Kodiak Island Borough.
A mask mandate is in effect for indoor public spaces.
