Today (Thursday) the Kodiak Emergency Operations Center reported thirty -two (32) new cases of COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.
Twelve (12) cases are close contacts of previously reported cases, and twenty (20) cases are classified as community spread.
Two hundred thirty-two (232) cases are currently classified as active locally. There are two (2) active cases currently hospitalized in Kodiak.
One thousand nine hundred eighty-three (1983) cases, seventy-nine (79) local hospitalizations, and seven (7) deaths are now officially associated with COVID 19 for the Kodiak Island Borough.
A mask mandate is in effect for public indoor activities.
Residents are encouraged to stay home if ill, even if you have mild symptoms. Keep your distance from others whenever possible, and wear masks where appropriate.
