Coast Guard Rescues Crewman from Kodiak Vessel

            A 27-year-old crewman on the Kodiak-based fishing vessel Captain Kidd was medevaced by the Coast Guard yesterday (Sunday) afternoon. The crewman broke his arm after it was caught in an anchor line.

            The Coast Guard in Anchorage was alerted at 1:42 p.m. An Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter responded less than an hour later and transferred the crewman to Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center for further care.
