Grass fire on Woody Island

A grass fire started this (Wed- nesday) afternoon on Woody Island, just offshore from Kodiak City. The cause is yet unknown. The Kodiak Police Department said at 5 p.m. firefighting resources have been notified and that there is no immediate threat to life or property. Nick Sandin photo
