On Friday Governor Sarah Palin appointed a Kodiak woman to the Alaska Aerospace Development Corporation board of directors. Patty Tabon, manager of the North Pacific Fuel here, was appointed to a seat representing the private business sector. The governor also reappointed Sharon Anderson, owner of Anderson Business Consulting of Anchorage to another term. Tabon has worked for 30 years for North Pacific Fuel, first as controller, and since 2000 as manager of the company’s fuel dock. She has served on the Kodiak Island Borough School Board, and been active in the Arts Council, the Kodiak Women’s Resource and Crisis Center, Kodiak College Advisory Board, and Kodiak Multicultural Committee. She has a degree in chemical engineering. The 11-member board leads the corporation that oversees the company that operates the Kodiak Launch Complex. |
