There’s a new traveling business in town that you may be seeing in your neighborhood on a nice day. They were close to KMXT’s headquarters Tuesday afternoon and Mary Donaldson caught up with them (Nat Sound Intro :05s “…”)Lickety Split Ice Cream could very well be the first ice cream truck Kodiak has ever seen. It’s a family owned business, and just started operating this week. One of the co-owners, Sarah Horton says they have a variety of sweet treats for everyone to choose from. (Ice Cream 1 :17s “…pretty much everything.”) When I caught up with Horton, she wasn’t working alone. Her 7-year-old brother, Tobias, was making the rounds with her. He says one of his favorite parts of the family business is traveling. (Ice Cream 2 :09s “...is chocolate.”) She says besides selling ice cream, the business has other fun services to offer. (Ice Cream 4 :10s “…parties too.”) Horton says hours will vary, but that their yellow, three-wheeled ice cream truck, playing fun tunes, could pop up at various locations around town at any time. (Ice Cream 3 :27s “…and Eastside.”) (Nat Sound Outro :05s “…ice cream.”) Screaming for ice cream, I’m Mary Donaldson.
