It's Crab Fest time again. One of the organizers is Pam Foreman of the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce who was a guest on KMXT's Talk of the Rock.

For the younger crowd, excitement should reach a fevered pitch when the carnival rides arrive today on the Kennicott. The procession of rides moving from the ferry to the spit will be something of a spectacle in itself.

And no festival is worth its salt without a parade. Foreman said there's still time to sign up for the main parade, if you hurry. The kid's parade, on the other hand, doesn't require registration.

Dozens of activities are scheduled for the 52nd staging of the much-anticipated annual festival.

There is one, long-standing Crab Fest tradition will have a different location this year as Foreman explains.

And since there's way more to do at Crab Fest than there is time to talk about it, Foreman explained how to get more information about the five-day extravaganza.

Crab Fest 2010 begins Thursday at noon and runs through 5 p.m. Monday.
