The Kenai Kardinals were no match for the Kodiak Bears volleyball team this weekend. Kodiak handily defeated Kenai in three straight games on both Friday and Saturday to pick up their first conference wins of the young season.

A busy week is ahead for the Bears’ spikers. The volleyball squad heads to Anchorage Thursday for a match against Anchorage Christian School. Friday they’ll be in Soldotna to take on Skyview High School and Saturday they’ll be in Homer for matches against the Mariners.

Aaron Fletcher, a senior from South Anchorage, had the winning time of 15 minutes 56 seconds. Kodiak Junior Dylan Anthony came in third, finishing 9 seconds behind teammate Salus in 16 minutes 21 seconds.
