An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Air Station Kodiak responded to the other side of the island early this morning to deliver two de-watering pumps to a Kodiak seiner that was taking on water. Coast Guard spokesman Walter Shinn in Juneau said the cause of the 50-foot Jaime Marie taking on water was not known, but the Marine Safety Detachment office in Kodiak will be looking into it. Seas were calm at the time of the Coast Guard flight this morning. Shinn said the fishing vessel Halcyon was standing by just in case.
