The Kodiak High School Bears baseball team kicked off the 2008 season yesterday (Monday) afternoon in Soldotna, where they fell to the Stars 8 to 6.

Doug Letch is the voice of Bears baseball for KVOK radio this season, and he spoke with Jay Barrett during today’s noon news about the first game of the year and the prospects for the team this season.

The Bears are playing a non-conference rematch against So-Hi this afternoon. We’ll have the score for you on tomorrow morning’s newscast.
