The concept plan offered by the redistricting board swaps Bristol Bay and a large swath of the lower Kuskokwim area for a big chunk of the Kenai Peninsula in a new Senate District P, which would include Kodiak Island.
The proposed House District 31 would stretch from just south of Soldotna down to Homer. Combined with House District 32, which includes the Kodiak Island Borough, the west side of Cook Inlet, and the North Gulf Coast from Nanwalek to past Yakutat, they would form Senate District P.
