A pregnant 27-year-old Kodiak woman is in an Anchorage hospital with serious injuries after a one-car accident Monday evening at Mill Bay Beach. Troopers report Rebecca Fish-Davis crashed her Dodge pickup into a large boulder and a small building at Mill Bay Beach a little after 6 p.m.
Friends of Fish-Davis are organizing on the “Friends of Kodiak” Facebook page and set up an account at Wells Fargo in an effort to assist her and her newborn daughter, who they report was delivered by Caesarian after the crash. The infant is reported by Fish-Davis’ friends to be healthy.
The troopers say Fish-Davis was not wearing a seatbelt and the reason for the crash is still under investigation.
