Only Democrat Running So Far

Kodiak documentary filmmaker Dave Kaplan is entering the race to be the representative for state House District 36. Kaplan made the announcement late last evening.
So far he is the only Democrat seeking the seat being vacated by Republican Representative Gabrielle LeDoux. LeDoux is foregoing re-election to the state house to take on Representative Don Young for his U.S. House seat.
Two Republicans have declared for the District 36 seat: former state representative and senator Alan Austerman, and Strawberry Fields nursery owner Lonnie White.
