            There's a new commanding officer at Coast Guard Base Kodiak. Captain Jerald Woloszynski assumed command from Captain Karl Moore at a change of command ceremony on the base Wednesday.

            Woloszynski, who was previously program manager for the Nationwide Automatic Identification System project, will serve a three-year tour as commanding officer here.

            Moore received an award for his leadership during his tour in Kodiak from Rear Admiral Ronald Rabago. Moore plans to retire with his wife and kids to his hometown in Wyoming.

            The end of Moore's tour was marred by the tragic, and as-yet unsolved, double homicide at the ComSta earlier this year.

            ComSta Commander Peter Van Ness was transferred after three years in Kodiak to Washington, D.C. after turning command over to Lieutenant Commander Paul Salerno two weeks ago.
