The
Southcentral Conference baseball championship tournament
started yesterday up in Kenai.
The Kodiak
High School Bears, who had trouble getting out of town due to the rockslide Wednesday,
played top-seeded Colony at 1 yesterday afternoon. Kodiak, the defending
conference champs, fell to the Knights 7-2.
The Bears
play again at 10 this (Friday) morning in the second-place bracket against Palmer, who
were blanked yesterday by Kenai 10-0.
Kenai went
on to get trounced themselves by Colony late yesterday 9-to-nothing.
The championship
game will be held tonight at 7 between Colony and the Wasilla Warriors.
The
double-elimination tournament will continue through tomorrow.
The loser
of the championship game tonight will face off Saturday against the last team
