Today at 5 p.m. is the deadline for running for any Kodiak Island Borough office.

According to the clerk's office only one person has so far signed up for the three open seats on the assembly. That's Judy Fulp.

Two incumbents have signed up to run for the pair of two-year seats on the school board - Jeff Stephan and Peggy Rauwolf. There is also a one-year seat available.

Mike Dolph is running for re-election to Fire Protection Area Number One board.

There are a dozen seats with no candidates, and once again the filing deadline is at 5 o'clock this evening.
