A town forum about methamphetamines will take place tomorrow night at the Kodiak High School commons. The event will be hosted by several Kodiak agencies, according to Heidi Barrett-McMerney, a substance abuse counselor at KANA.

--          (Anti Meth 1                            "KANA being one ... dental department.")

The purpose of the forum is to share knowledge about the illegal drug with the goal of reducing or eliminating meth use in Kodiak.

--          (Anti Meth 2                         "The way this ... during the presentation.")

meth is considered to be an especially dangerous drug because of the damage it causes to the brain and because of its highly addictive nature.

--          (Anti-Meth 3                         "The attraction I ... achieving that again.")

McNerney hopes Thursday night's forum will help launch awareness and encourage people to talk about the issue.

--          (Anti-Meth 4                                  "Often times people ... dangerous drug.")

The Forum about meth will take place Thursday night from 6:30 to 9:30 in the Kodiak High School Commons.
