Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center was recently awarded a national distinction.

It made the top-five list of best hospitals to work at in America.

Dr. Allen Wolf is the hospital's orthopedic surgeon. He spoke with KMXT's Diana Gish about the hospital's award and why he likes working there.

--(PKIMC Award                                    5:06         " .. still work hard.")

Wolf said the award helps the hospital recruit and retain high quality workers.

The director of orthopedic surgery had another message he wanted to share and that is: "Wear ice cleets".  Every winter Wolf repairs broken wrists and ankles from falls on the ice.He stressed that preventing the accidents is a better way to go.
