On Monday, Senator Lisa Murkowski will participate in a Kodiak town hall meeting on health care reform. The Alaska Republican will take part in the event via live video conference. It's her first attempt at using long distance video technology to hold a town hall meeting between her office in Washington and her constituents at home. KMXT's Diana Gish spoke with Murkowski by phone as the Senator was driving from her office. Murkowski is battling the flu and recovering from recent knee surgery:

The town hall meeting with Senator Murkowski will take place at the Gerald C. Wilson Auditorium on Monday, September 14th, starting at 11:30 a.m. She'll take health care reform questions from the audience. The meeting will be conducted by a moderator. Participants are asked to come early. If you can't attend you can e-mail your questions to "health-at-Kodiak-dot-org". Or you can call the Chamber of Commerce at 486-5557.
