President Obama's "rural tour" is underway in Alaska. Four of Obama's cabinet members are touring parts of the state with Senator Mark Begich. Today Education Secretary Arne (arnie) Duncan is in Anchorage to talk about education reform. This morning Begich appeared on APRN's state wide talk show "Talk of Alaska" along with Housing Secretary Shaun Donovan. Donovan took the opportunity to make an announcement and to explain the purpose of the tour:

(HUD Sec in AK                  1:34                                     "...on the ground.")

That was U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan speaking this morning on "Talk of Alaska". Donovan and Begich will travel to Bethel and Hooper Bay tomorrow along with Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and Energy Secretary Steven Chu.
