Air Station Sitka Crewmen Identified PDF Print E-mail

SEATTLE (AP) — The Coast Guard has identified the four crewmen from Air Station Sitka that crashed yesterday off the Washington coast in an MH-60 Jayhawk they were ferrying home from Astoria, Ore. The survivor is Lt. Lance D. Leone of Ventura, Calif. The four killed in the crash are identified as Lt. Sean D. Krueger of Seymour, Conn.; Adam C. Hoke of Great Falls, Mont.; and Brett M. Banks of Rock Spring, Wyo.

          Coming up this week, the salmon are late in Bristol Bay, while prices are good in Southeast; and getting your lox on the rocks .We had help this week from KDLG's Jacob Resneck in Dillingham, KFSK's Melati Kaye in Petersburg, KCAW's Ed Ronco in Sitka, and NPR's Michelle Norris in Washington D.C.

 

          The Coast Guard is a big part of life for Alaska's commercial fishermen, and many owe their lives to their heroics. We send our condolences to the families and friends of the Air Station Sitka Coast Guardsmen who were killed in the helicopter crash Wednesday in Washington State.
