A successful launch from the Alaska Aerospace Corporation took place on Friday. That’s according to Craig Campbell, president and CEO of AAC.

Campbell confirms that the company had their first successful commercial launch from the Pacific Spaceport Complex Alaska late Friday afternoon, the end of the window to launch.

It was the first launch of a rocket vehicle for the company, which remains unnamed. Campbell says the company’s CEO is pleased with the outcome of the launch.

A different launch from the commercial company, Vector, is set for later this year. Vector has been at the launch site in recent weeks doing testing. A date for Vector’s launch has not yet been set. This would be a the first time Vector has launched from the site.
