KMXT 100.1 FM Public Radio in Kodiak, Alaska
Scores of librarians will descend on Kodiak Friday for the annual Alaska Library Association meeting. City of Kodiak Library Director Joe D’Elia describes it as a learning opportunity for the participants, many of whom come from small communities.
The Alaska Library Association convention starts on Friday. The keynote address by Willie Hensley at 9:15 Saturday morning in the Gerald C. Wilson Auditorium is open to the public. Coinciding with the library association convention is the second annual Kodiak Out Loud fisher poets event. Organizer Toby Sullivan said it will be a perfect fit with the librarians and authors in town:
