The Third Annual KMXT Run the Rock was held on Saturday. The heavy rains a week earlier damaged the Anton Larsen Bay Road course, forcing the postponement. The new course began and ended at the VFW on Monashka Bay Road. Though the full marathon was officially cancelled this year, Lindsey Glenn chose to run the half-marathon course twice, and clocked a time of 5-hours 31-minutes 4-seconds.
Fifty-one runners competed in the half-marathon, with Ethan Dwyer completing the 13.1-mile course in 1-hour 34-minutes 18-seconds. Just more than two minutes later Sally Skimin crossed the line for second, followed by John Neff, Meg Inokuma and Joshua Boyle.
Andy Schroeder was sixth, with Jeremy Larson, Chris Daweron, Lindsey Jacoby and Betsy Lund rounding out the top 10.
There were 83-participants in the five-kilometer race, with Levi Thomet winning in 21-minutes 21-seconds. John Larsen was 41-seconds behind in second, followed by David Sundberg, Sam Friedman and Sawyer Olsen.
Don Rush was sixth, followed by Clayton Hannah, Greg Deal, Michael Parnell and Stephen Parnell.
