Locks of Love - Haircuts at Relay for Life

100726.maggie-hair-shaving.jpg KMXT's Maggie Wall didn't just donate her ponytail for the "Locks of Love" fundraiser during the Relay for Life, she conducted an impromptu campaign and collected over $100 for the American Cancer Society to have her head shaved.Cutting her hair is Alexandra Turner, who was kept plenty busy by those making donations. A conference was held Tuesday in Kodiak bringing together employers and educators to brainstorm how to better prepare Kodiak students for the workforce of the future.

Jerry Andrews is the apprenticeship coordinator for the Alaska Department of Labor and Work Force Development. He says his boss, Commissioner Click Bishop, and Education Commissioner Larry LeDoux, are together seeking a solution.
